Denmark isn’t that well-known for delivering tons of metal bands but evry now an then an act pops up to make a name of themselves. Just think of bands like Invocator, Hatesphere, Ill Disposed or Volbeat. Pilgrimz will be the next one to be added to that list as their debut “Boar Riders” will have some impact on the scene. Their brand of music can be described as a mixture of Scandinavian metal mixed with hardcore and a good dose of rock’n’roll spirit added to that. To put it quite bluntly you should think of a mix of At the Gates and Sick of it All and you get quite a good idea what Pilgrimz are all about. This blend of styles works perfectly well but I must add that after a while the songs do tend to sound alike a bit. Other than that it is a pretty good debut and I think this type of metal will find its way to the fans and therefore Pilgrimz will be a name we will hear a lot about in the future.
