This is a self-titled vinyl only MLP by Phantom Witch from Indianapolis, Indiana and it contains the 4 songs that were released by the band on their also self-titled MCD in 2007. These 4 songs appeared on the Thrash Clash volume I as well which was released by Stormspell Records earlier this year and also featured the band Taking Over. For this vinyl MLP this 3-piece recorded 2 additional tracks that make it worthwhile to get this release.
Even more so if you dig “Show No Mercy” and “Hell Awaits” era Slayer as Phantom Witch sounds quite a bit like the masters of thrash in their earlier years.
Phantom Witch is yet again a new band playing 80’s thrash that is flying the flag of thrash high and I can only recommend checking ‘em out especially when you dig old Slayer.
