Letargy Dream
2
BadMoodMan Music

Letargy Dream is a band from Russia, first a solo band from Letarg (also bass player in Revelations Of Rain), but now a full band. He found musicians from Beheaded Zombie and Naabath (Vile and Crawler).

“2” contains only 3 tracks, but clocks in at over 50 minutes. The sound of those tracks is very raw, a bit unpolished. Although the production could be better though, it gives the album a certain atmosphere that belongs to this kind of music. The lyrics and texts on the album is in Russia only, but on the website of their label, a translation can be found, so I found out that the first track is called Singularity. This track contains a lot of variation. Slow parts are combined with faster parts, grunts are mixed with clean vocals and nice guitar solos can be heard between the riffs. This is a very interesting song.

The next 2 tracks have less variation, but are still interesting. The second track is a simple doom song, but the spoken lyrics and slow but heavy riffs keep this one still interesting for a doom lover. The last track is in my opinion the weakest of all. After a while it looses my interest. Only the synthesizer sounds do good in this song.

“2” is for me a pleasant surprise and shows that there is a lot of talent in Russia, especially in this kind of music. Once again a nice discovery from Solitude Productions.
